Starlight Culture (HK01159) announces that strong word of mouth of Crazy Rich Asians, which was released on August 15, 2018, has fueled the box office. Crazy Rich Asians, which was a Warner Bros. Pictures release and presentation, and co-produced by Starlight Culture, was directed by Starlight’s contracted director Jon M. Chu. The film has received a rating of 93% from the Rotten Tomatoes website, and an average score of 74% from Metacritic based on the reviews of 48 other critics. Exit audiences polled by CinemaScore assign the movie an average grade of A. Crazy Rich Asians delivered a total of $119 million in the United States and Canada in its first three weeks of release, and continues to top the box office. The film was also released in Hong Kong on August 23^rd, 2018.
